Il avait plaidé coupable en décembre 2005 de plusieurs des plus de 30 chefs d'inculpation retenus contre lui, notamment de fraude financière passible d'un maximum de sept ans de prison. Richard Causey a reconnu avoir conspiré avec d'autres membres de la direction d'Enron pour faire des déclarations fausses et mensongères dans des documents transmis à la Commission des opérations en Bourse (SEC) et dans des informations transmises aux analystes financiers sur la situation du groupe de courtage en énergie. |

Former Treasurer Ben Glisan, 40, said Enron forewarned credit rating agency Moody's Inc. it would cut the value of some overvalued assets by $1 billion in October 2001, but Lay telephoned the agency to tell an analyst there the company had no other skeletons to hide.
